Hong Kong International - body

Hong Kong’s primary airport is situated on reclaimed land on the island of Chek Lap Kok and replaced the Kai Tak Airport.

Hong Kong International took six years to build and cost US$20 billion. It opened in July 1998. More than 100 airlines operate flights from the airport to over 180 cities around the globe. The airport ranks as the world’s busiest airport for cargo traffic and one of the busiest for passengers, with more than 60 million people passing through each year.

The bustling international airport boasts two terminals and two runways and is an important hub for 44 destinations in Mainland China.
